Hand , Elbow and Shoulder mobilisation

0 to 4 weeks


  • Finger mobilisation (active and passive).

  • Wrist mobilisation



  • Elbow Mobilisation.



  • Shoulder mobilisation.





 


2-4 weeks

  • Continue finger, elbow and shoulder mobilisation

  • Wrist cock-up prefabricated to be worn between exercises for two -four additional weeks then weaned. Tip: Heat therapy prior to exercises can help with the finger and wrist mobilisation.(Immerse your hand and wrist in warm water for a period of 10- 20 min before starting physio).


 

4-6 weeks

  • Continue finger, elbow and shoulder mobilisation.

  • Light grip strengthening with sponge balls can be started at 4-6 weeks.

 

8-12 weeks

  • Wrist and forearm strengthening started. Progressive weight bearing as tolerated by 8 to 12 weeks.
