Weight bearing as tolerated can be done in two ways :
Three point crutch walking
Four point crutch walking
Three point crutch walking

Note:
This type of crutch walking should be attempted only when the patient is allowed partial to full weight bearing on the operated leg.
Depending on the fracture pattern and the stability of the fracture fixation the treating doctor will be the right person to suggest this form of ambulation.
Assisted crutch walking should be attempted in consultation with your Doctor/Physiotherapist and needs supervision.
2. Four point crutch walking

Instructions for a four point crutch walking
Stand with both feet and the crutches by the side as shown in the video.
You can start with the right or the left crutch based on your preference, for example let's say you want to start with your left crutch, move the left crutch forwards by about a feet (30cm).
Next move your right foot forwards by about a feet (30 cm), while supporting the your body weight on your both your hands.
Now move your right crutch followed by your left foot in the same way.
Repeat the same at a comfortable pace to move forwards.
